GEBHF - Las Vegas spending sizzles again with NFL NHL boost
Concerns that spending trends in Las Vegas are starting to fade as tourism demand continues to impress. Las Vegas Strip card spend accelerated last week to show a 30% increase versus the level seen in 2019, per Bank of America credit card and debit card data. Spending in Las Vegas has been boosted by Raiders and Golden Knights home games, which have attracted strong tourism. The spending trend in Las Vegas has been solid in general since a couple of soft weeks in August and September related to COVID flareup concerns. Vegas room rates for Q4 continue to move higher and are now up 45% compared to the 2019 level for the latest tracking period vs. +39% last week.
