FLL - Las Vegas starts buzzing again ahead of 50% capacity rule
Las Vegas Strip casino were reportedly packed over the weekend after Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak signed a "Roadmap to Recovery" ruling that boosted casino and restaurant capacity level to 50% from 35%. The new capacity limit officially went into effect today, but social media posts from the weekend indicated some locations were very crowded. The Strip typically sees extra traffic during the NCAA college basketball tournament. The three-week tournament starts on Friday. Local officials think the increased capacity will help both consumer confidence and the bottom line. On casino floors more machines and tables will be open, although social distancing rules will still apply.
