VIACA - Latest 'Fast and Furious' film revs to $70M opening raising box-office spirits
There's an audible sigh of relief coming from Hollywood and the cinema industry after F9, the latest film in the lucrative Fast and the Furious franchise, debuted with an expected splash. The film opened to $70M in grosses; not only is that easily the best performance of the pandemic era, it's the best opening since 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
