VAR - Lattice Semi Progyny Domtar shoot higher on S&P index moves
Stocks are on the move after hours following the most recent changes from S&P Dow Jones Indices, starting with PTC. Currently a constituent of the S&P MidCap 400, PTC will move into the S&P 500 to replace Varian Medical Systems (VAR), which was acquired today by Siemens Healthineers. Moving into PTC's MidCap 400 spot is Lattice Semiconductor (LSCC), which is up 5.9% on the news.PTC is up 0.9% after hours. Meanwhile, two other smaller-cap stocks are also higher postmarket. Progyny (PGNY) is 6.9% higher after news that will move into the MidCap 400. It's there to replace Domtar (UFS), which is going into the SmallCap 600. Domtar is up 5.9% after hours. Those moves are to backfill a hole in the SmallCap 600 left by NIC (EGOV), set to be acquired by S&P 500 constituent Tyler Technologies.
