TAXA - Liberty Tax To Aid Taxpayers Who Need More Time To File 2018 Tax Returns

Liberty Tax, Inc. (OTC PINK: TAXA) said today that its offices nationwide are ready to help taxpayers file to extend the deadline to submit their 2018 taxes. A federal extension gives taxpayers an extra six months to file their tax return – but still requires the payment of any taxes owed by the April filing deadline.

With its tax extension assistance, Liberty Tax can help taxpayers determine their tax liability, get the extra time they need to file, and avoid a failure to file penalty. More than 14 million taxpayers filed for a federal extension in 2018.

Liberty Tax also reminds taxpayers that more than $1.4 billion in 2015 federal tax refunds remains unclaimed. Half of the refunds are for more than $879 per taxpayer. These funds will be turned over to the U.S. Treasury if taxpayers do not file a 2015 tax return by April 15^th. The professionals at Liberty Tax can also assist taxpayers filing past years’ tax returns and claim these refunds.

Liberty Tax offices have extended hours in advance of April 15^th, to accommodate taxpayers who need assistance.
