LHDX - Lucira Health jumps after announcing the availability of COVID-19 test kit on Amazon

For the second day in a row, Lucira Health ([[LHDX]] +40.9%) is trading sharply higher today. Before the market open, the company announced today that LUCIRA CHECK IT COVID-19 test kit was available on Amazon.com in the US.“We are excited to offer the first at-home COVID-19 self-test to provide an on-the-spot result with molecular accuracy available to millions of US customers on Amazon,” commented Lucira Health CEO Erik Engelson.“We are looking forward to making our test available to more customers thanks to its availability on Amazon,” he added.The commercial availability on Amazon follows the Emergency Use Authorization ((EUA)) granted by the FDA in April for LUCIRA CHECK IT test kit.Lucira Health called it the first FDA-authorized, prescription, molecular diagnostic test for COVID-19 that could be self-administered by patients at home or used in a physician’s office.
