M&T Bank (NYSE:MTB) and People's United Financial (NASDAQ:PBCT) agreed to extend their merger from Feb. 21 to Jun. 1. The merger received approval from both the New York and Connecticut state financial regulators in Oct. Approval by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors is pending to complete the merger.
