MSC - Macau could be more open by Golden Week in May

UBS doesn't think the same government calls will be made for people not to travel to Macau for the May Day Golden Week period as were made in February for the Chinese New Year holiday. The firm bases its conviction off a conversation with a local official."We are now at a similar timeframe before May Golden Week holiday, and with vaccination efforts rolling out, and Macau not having had a local case in the last 12 months, he doesn't expect to see the same travel restrictions. Macau had a hiccup with the BioNTech vaccine due to packaging, but he says local expectations are for resumption of vaccinations this week."The firm expects to hear by the middle part of April if Macau travel will be open for the key May 1-5 period.
