JVTSF - Manchester United gains 5% taking lead in Ronaldo race

Manchester United (NYSE:MANU) is up 4.6% alongside the surprise news that the team is now front-runners for the services of soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo has been set to leave the Juventus (OTCPK:JVTSF) club before an Aug. 31 transfer window deadline, and multiple reports had him heading to Manchester City, Manchester United's rival. But Man City has decided not to move forward, and Man United is expected to make a move today. Ronaldo left United in 2009 for Real Madrid, in an £80 million deal. ESPN reports that United is now set to pay Juventus' €28 million valuation.
