XLNX - Maxim nears session highs after Analog Devices sees deal close within initial timeframe

Maxim Integrated (NASDAQ:MXIM) rose almost 1% after Analog Devices (NASDAQ:ADI) said it expects that the acquisition is still expected to close with ADI's initial timeframe. Analog Devices' (ADI) discussions with China have been "positive and productive," an ADI executive said on the company's earnings conference call. China is the last regulator approval that Analog Devices needs for the deal to close. The company plans to close the deal no later than the third business day after China regulators approve the combination. Yesterday, Maxim Integrated gains on report of China approval for Analog Devices deal may be getting closer.
