NDLS - McDonald's Brinker and Noodles called post-vaccine winners by Jefferies
Jefferies digs deep into consumer behavior with a survey of post-vaccine intentions. The firm reports that of the survey respondents who have received a vaccine, nearly a third indicated they have since increased visits to restaurants. "Eating out remains the top priority for leisure/shopping activities, with 35% selecting bars, restaurants, and pubs as their top priority over cinema, wellness/fitness, clothing, and beauty. Similar to prior surveys, 30%+ are eating healthier foods vs a year ago. Pre-Covid, 21% of respondents never went out to bars or restaurants, but only 17% plan to never eat out post-Covid. Similarly, 24% ate out once a month pre-Covid, but 31% plan to do so post-Covid." Analysts Andy Barish and Alex Slagle think the data points for big benefits for dine-in operators Bloomin’ Brands ([[BLMN]] +4.4%), Brinker International ([[EAT]] +3.0%) and Darden Restaurants ([[DRI]] +1.6%). The strong healthy "better for you" trends are seen as positive
