MDRR - Medalist Diversified REIT announces CEO departure

• Medalist Diversified REIT ( NASDAQ: MDRR ) said on Tuesday that its chairman and chief executive Thomas Messier will step down effective immediately.
• MDRR added that its vice chairman, president, and chief operating officer William Elliott will also depart the company, effective immediately.
• The company said it had appointed Timothy O’Brien as interim chairman, and Francis Kavanaugh as interim CEO.
• Leadership changes were a result of the company completing the process to internalize management, MDRR said in a statement .
• MDRR had said on July 12 that it was in discussions with an external manager as to an internalization of its management .
