MESA - Mesa Air reports 23% Y/Y block hour increase 7.3% M/M decline

Mesa Air Group (MESA +0.4%) reports 28,465 block hours in November 2021, a 23.0% percent increase from November 2020 as a result of continued increased flying with the relaxation of certain COVID travel restrictions. Compared to October 2021, block hours fell 7.3% in November 2021. By segment, American block hours increased 5.9% Y/Y, United block hours rose 37.9%, and DHL block hours are up 9.4% from the comparable month last year. Year-to-date, block hours are up 36.6%. Mesa Air Group is down 1.63% pre-market amid a broader slump in the travel industry.
