MDWT - Midwest subsidiary signs reinsurance deal with ARIC

Midwest Holding Inc.
American Life & Security, a subsidiary of life and annuity platform Midwest Holding (MDWT), has signed a reinsurance agreement with American Republic Insurance Company ((ARIC)), a subsidiary of American Enterprise Group.ARIC will initially assume a 20% quota share of certain Fixed-Income Annuity ((FIA)) and Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuity ((MYGA)) policies issued by American Life & Security Corp up to $100M of premium, effective January 1, 2021. The agreement may be renewed annually with the quota share adjustable up to $100M of premium per year.
