MTX - Minerals Technologies signs deal with paper cos in India and China to supply PCC

  • Minerals Technologies ( NYSE: MTX ) said Tuesday it signed long-term agreements with paper companies in India and China to supply precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC).
  • The company entered into agreements with Andhra Paper Limited, Nine Dragons Paper, and Zhejiang Zhefeng New Materials Company to supply PCC.
  • The company said it will build and operate on-site PCC satellite plants for the paper companies.
  • The combined volume from new agreements will be more than 180,000 metric tons per year of PCC, and the sites are expected to be in operation in late 2023 and early 2024, the company said.
