MTX - Minerals Technologies to upgrade its PCC plant in Brazil

Minerals Technologies ( NYSE: MTX ) said Tuesday it has signed an agreement with a paper company to upgrade one of its existing precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) plants in Brazil.
The companies will integrate the NewYield LO PCC technology into the plant, which will convert a waste stream from a paper mill’s pulping operation into a functional filler pigment.
