MINT is a PIMCO ETF composed of short duration fixed income instruments (combination of government securities, IG bonds, and ABS).
MINT offers a better yield than similar maturity US T-Bills but falls short when compared to another popular short duration bond ETF.
While exhibiting a very low duration (0.53 yrs) and low standard deviation (1.84), MINT has a higher number of months with negative total returns than its competition.
An investor looking to park cash would be better suited from a yield and capital preservation perspective to look at competing ETFs.
