Brewer Molson Coors has been battling volume declines for years in its mainstream beer offerings, while debt has also been an issue.
With brewers naturally exhibiting significant fixed cost leverage, volume declines pose a real threat to cash flow, while inflation could also pose some short-term challenges on the same front.
Molson stock isn't aggressively priced. Flat volumes would likely be fine. But at this point we do need to see some stability in its core operations.
