Chainarong Prasertthai/iStock via Getty Images Active mortgage forbearance plans fell by a mere 7K since last Tuesday, according to Black Knight's McDash Flash Forbearance Tracker. As of June 15, some 2.06M, or 3.9%, of homeowners remain in forbearance plans including 2.3% of GSE, 6.9% of FHA/VA, 4.5% of Portfolio/PLS loans. Improvements in GSE and FHA/VA plans is offset by a 3K increase in portfolios and privately securitized mortgages in forbearance. Starts and exits fell as removals fell 50% from last week "due to typical mid-month behavior and month-end review cycles." More plan exits may occur as 4th of July nears and there are still 400K plans scheduled for quarterly reviews over the three weeks. Estimated principal and interest advances on active forbearance plans were $2.5B, the same as last week.
