German luxury e-commerce player Mytheresa ( NYSE: MYTE ) is focusing on China as the country reopens.
The company is planning to woo customers with personal shoppers and in-person events, complementing marketing on Chinese social media. CEO Michael Kliger told Reuters in an interview that there is “a very special customer” for the company to focus on as it grows its market share from a small base at present.
The latest effort builds upon a local designer program pushed by the European luxury retail company in late 2022.
