NDAQ - Nasdaq U.S. matched equity volume in March jumps 40% sequentially

- Nasdaq ( NASDAQ: NDAQ ) saw U.S. matched equity volume increase 40% M/M in March but drop 11% from a year ago.
- March 2023 U.S. matched equity volume rose to 49.8B shares from 35.6B in February and declined from 55.7B in March 2022.
- U.S. equity options volume gained 19% M/M to 300M contracts and were 5.6% higher than 284M contracts in March 2022.
- European equity volume rose 14% to $85.6B value of shares traded from February's level and sank 28% from $119.0B in March a year ago.
- European options and futures volume increased to 10.0M contracts last month vs. 5.6M in February and slipped from 10.02M contracts in March 2022.
