NDAQ - Nasdaq US equity options volume falls 31% sequentially in April

- Nasdaq ( NASDAQ: NDAQ ) on Wednesday reported U.S. equity options volume of 208M contracts in April, down 30.7% M/M and 11.1% lower Y/Y.
- U.S. matched equity volume decreased 36.2% sequentially to 31.77B shares (-21.5% Y/Y).
- European options and futures volume totaled 6.7M contracts, down 33% from March but 26.4% higher Y/Y.
- European equity volume fell 25.4% M/M and 20.7% Y/Y to $63.8B.
- Earlier, Nasdaq climbed over 3% after Q1 earnings topped estimates.
