GASNY - Naturgy sells Chilean utility CGE to Chinese firm in $3B deal

Naturgy Energy ([[GASNF]], [[GASNY]]) agrees to sell its 96% equity shareholding in its Chilean electricity subsidiary Compania General de Electricidad to China's State Grid International Development for €2.57B ($3.03B).The Spanish utility says the enterprise value of the transaction is €4.31B, and it expects to book a ~ pre-tax capital gain on the sale.Naturgy says the deal initiates a transformation process within the company.Naturgy Energy reports results
