Pacific Rim Cobalt (CSE: BOLT) (OTCQB: PCRCF) (XFRA: NXFE) today announced results from mineral process recovery testing on material from its flagship nickel/cobalt development-focused Cyclops Project as reported by its independent extractive technology and mineral process development partner. Per the update, the first phase of the detailed bench scale program, which is intended to evaluate separation technology on samples of materials from several geological profiles, has been completed. The samples were leached using PCRCF’s partner’s proprietary mixed chloride technology. The results demonstrated the efficacy of the mixed chloride leach technology in the recovery of value elements, specifically nickel, and cobalt from the three laterite samples tested. The second phase of the program is currently underway with the preparation of bulk solutions for future solvent extraction tests for the recovery of nickel, cobalt and iron under the conditions established from the phase one leach program.
