NR - Newpark Resources surges after purchases by board members

Newpark Resources ( NYSE: NR ) +11% in Thursday's trading a day after the provider of fluid systems and industrial blending solutions reported stock purchases by two members of the company's board.

In an SEC filing, Newpark ( NR ) said director John Monge recently bought 15K shares at $2.66/share, raising his holdings to more than 152K shares, and director Donald Win Young recently purchased 89.6K shares for $2.67 each, raising his holdings to more than 213K shares.

Newpark Resources ( NR ) recently reported Q2 adjusted earnings of $0.01/share on revenues of $194M .
