Nexa Resources ( NYSE: NEXA ) said Thursday that it has resumed operations at the Atacocha San Gerardo open pit mine in Peru after protest activities by communities ceased, giving it access.

The company has resumed operations at normal capacity utilization rates.

The estimated zinc production loss of 0.9 kt is expected to be recovered in the upcoming months, Nexa said.
