MP - Nickel-cobalt miner Missouri Cobalt is said to consider going public through SPAC at $5B valuation
fabio lamanna/iStock via Getty Images Missouri Cobalt, a U.S.-based nickel-cobalt miner, is said to have hired Goldman Sachs to consider its options including going public through a SPAC that could value that company as much as $5B. Proceeds from a deal could be used to scale up the company operations, include battery recycling and processing of third-party material, according to a Reuters report, which cited sources familiar. Almost a year ago, rare earth company MP Materials announced an agreement to go public through a $1.5b SPAC deal.
