Noble Energy ([[NBL]] +1.3%) shareholders approved the $4.2B sale of the company to Chevron ([[CVX]] +1.0%), creating the second largest U.S. shale oil producer.The acquisition also adds nearly 1B cf of natural gas reserves, including Noble's giant Leviathan field offshore Israel.The deal has become even cheaper for Chevron since it was announced in July with a value of $5B, as shares of both companies have traded down alongside crude oil.
