JWN - Nordstrom taps Cathy Smith from Bright Health for CFO job

• Department store chain Nordstrom ( NYSE: JWN ) on Wednesday named Cathy Smith its new chief financial officer.
• Smith's appointment is effective May 29, 2023.
• Smith joins Nordstrom from Bright Health Group ( BHG ), where she has been chief financial and administrative officer since 2020.
• Prior to Bright Health, Smith was Target's ( TGT ) CFO for five years.
• Smith currently serves as a board member at PPG Industries and Baxter International, and previously served as a director for Dick's Sporting Goods.
• Interim CFO Michael Maher will be leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
