Vancouver, British Columbia – TheNewswire - November 23 ,2021 – Norseman Silver Inc. (TSXV:NOC)( OTC :NOCSF)(“ Norseman ” or the “ Company ”) is pleased to provide a CorporateUpdate on its exploration and Corporate activities in 2021.
During 2021 Norseman’s exploration team has been veryactive advancing the Company’s projects in British Columbia, Canada,and in Rio Negro Province, Argentina. Exploration programs have beenconducted in British Columbia on the Silver Switchback, Silver Vistaand Caribou projects. In Argentina, exploration is currently underwayon the Taquetren project.
Taquetren project
In Rio Negro Province, Argentina, crews are now in thefield on the Taquetren project. The project is located in anunderexplored region that hosts Patagonia Gold’s CalcatreauGold-Silver Deposit and Pan American’s Navidad, one of the world’slargest undeveloped silver deposits. The exploration program is beingconducted by seasoned professionals with extensive explorationexperience in Argentina.
Field work is focused on rock and stream sedimentsampling and work is also in the process to expand the land packagethrough the acquisition of additional grounds adjacent to the project.This program is expected to be completed by the end of 2021 withresults available in late December or early January 2022. Norsemanplans to continue to expand its exploration at Taquetren through anaccelerated exploration program in Q1, 2022.
Silver Switchback
On Silver Switchback an extensive geochemical programhas been completed, with geochemical rock and grid soil samplingprimarily involving the collection of samples to extend the gridcoverage of previously mapped areas.. The total geochemical soil gridarea is now about 4.20km. X 1.5km, expanding the known mineralizedzones. The next phases of work will be to conduct a geophysical surveyfollowed up with a drill program to test high priority targets on theproject.
Exploration in late summer of 2021 on Silver Vista wasfocused on a 1,500 m. drill program to define the strike length anddown-dip extensions of the already-identified Silver-Coppermineralization at Silver Vista. Mineralized trends remain open in alldirections. This drill program has been completed and results areexpected to be available in December of this year.
Silver Vista
Norseman has completed a 1,500 metre drill program todefine the strike length and down-dip extensions of thealready-identified Silver-Copper mineralization at Silver Vista. Thedrill program focused on a 500 metres by approximately 250 metreextension along dip of the mineralized targets. Mineralization istypically characterized by pervasive carbonate alteration withattendant Silver and Copper sulfide mineralization within a sandstonehost rock. Mineralization trends remain open in all directions. Drillresults are expected in December 2021.
Caribou
The work program at Caribou concentrated on expandingpreviously announced results that include 4.93% copper, 242.5 g/tsilver in a 7.6 m trench within a 1500 metre by 500 metre soil anomalyin the NH target area. Infill- geochemical soil sampling was carriedout in the Eastern Block NH Target as well as in another separateWestern Block. In addition, a ground IP-Resistivity survey consistingof 6 IP line kilometres within a 45-hectare area at NH was alsocompleted. The goal of these work programs is to define further themineralized targets for trenching and/or drilling in the next fieldseason. Prospecting work which involved mapping and rock sampling wasalso completed within the newly-acquired 1, 867- hectare concession which is located directly north of themain Caribou concessions. Results from Norseman’s exploration atCaribou are expected in the coming weeks.
