Vancouver, B.C. - TheNewswire- February 24 th , 2021 - Norsemont Mining Inc. (C NSX :NOM. CN)( OTC:NRRSF ) ( FWB:LXZ1) ( “ Norsemont ” or the “ Company ” ) is pleased to announce theappointment of Mr. John Currie as Vice President of Exploration of theCompany effective immediately.
John is an exploration geologist with 30 years ofexperience in all aspects of mineral exploration and projectmanagement. He resides in Chile, is fluent in Spanish, written andoral, and has spent the last 27 years of his career exploring for baseand precious metals deposits in South America. He has identified andled exploration campaigns including the discovery of the world-classSierra Gorda Cu-Mo (Au) porphyry deposit for KGHM Polska Miedz wherehe had been directly responsible for the administration andproject-generative exploration budgets exceeding $30,000,000 (US). Prior to his 15-year tenure with KGHM, John worked in expandingroles from senior geologist to exploration manager for severalCanadian junior mining and exploration companies including PrincetonMining Corporation, Atna Resources Ltd., Aquest Explorations Ltd. andRio Algom Ltd.
The Company announces that, pursuant to its stock option Plan, it hasgranted incentive stock options to a director and officer of theCompany to purchase 200,000 shares in the capital stock of theCompany. The options are exercisable at a price of $0.70 per shareexpiring five years from the date of grant, and vest over a period ofthree years.
