PSXP - NuStar outlines pipeline expansion project for Albuquerque market
NuStar Energy ([[NS]] +2.3%) says it plans to develop incremental pipeline capacity that will allow for the delivery of ~6K bbl/day of additional refined products into the Albuquerque, N.M., region. In addition to increasing capacity on the system, NuStar will upgrade pump stations on a pipeline system it jointly owns with Phillips 66 Partners ([[PSXP]] +3.0%) that transports refined products from Amarillo, Texas, to Albuquerque, providing for higher flow while reducing emissions by eliminating two diesel-driven pump stations.NuStar expects the project will be completed by mid-2022.NuStar offers a hefty yield despite a recent distribution cut, with the potential for upside as demand for liquid hydrocarbons resumes, Nikolaos Sismanis writes in a bullish analysis published recently on Seeking Alpha.
