Investment update
Little has changed in the investment debate about Orthofix Medical Inc. (OFIX) since my last commentary in Sep '23. My primary complaint from the last report was that OFIX's SeaSpine acquisition had not begun to pull its economic weight. Gross profit on total assets had fallen from ~$0.75 to $0.45, and the ratio of sales to capital required to run the company and margins earned on these sales had also compressed. Forward to the present day, little has changed in this regard....
