VIACA - Paramount Plus makes summer push with 1000 new movies ad-supported plan
Paramount Plus ([[VIAC]] -0.2%, [[VIACA]]) is amping up its content game with more than 1,000 movies joining the streaming service this week, at the same time as the less expensive ad-supported version of the service makes its debut. ViacomCBS adjusted its output deal with MGM's (MGMB) Epix network to offer an expanded list of film titles. And it offers some new milestones in terms of the shift toward streaming: Sci-fi film Infinite will premiere exclusively on Paramount Plus Thursday, and PAW Patrol: The Movie will appear on the service Aug. 20, the same day as its theatrical release. It also serves as the exclusive streaming home for current box-office champ A Quiet Place Part II after that film's theatrical run.
