PE - Parsley Energy lays off most workers as part of Pioneer Natural takeover

Parsley Energy ([[PE]] -2.7%) is closing its Austin, Tex., offices and laying off more than 230 employees, according to a notice to the Texas Workforce Commission.The office closures and layoffs are permanent, although some of the employees may be offered jobs with Pioneer Natural Resources, which is buying Parsley in a deal valued at ~$4.5B.PE shares recently reached their highest level since February and have more than tripled from March lows:
