PNTG - Pennant names Barry Smith chairman

• The Pennant Group ( NASDAQ: PNTG ) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Barry Smith as chairman of the board of directors, succeeding Daniel Walker.
• The company also named Brent Guerisoli as a member of its board of directors.
• Smith, who has served on Pennant’s board since 2021, previously served as chairman and CEO of Magellan Health.
• Smith’s and Guerisoli’s appointments are effective February 28, 2023.
• Guerisoli will serve as a Class I director eligible for reelection in 2023, and will serve on the board’s Quality and Compliance Committee.
• The number of directors on Pennant’s board will remain unchanged at eight.
