Introduction
With a share of around 47% of global lithium production , Australia is the only significant Western country that participates in said market. One of their leading companies is Pilbara Minerals Limited (PILBF), which, among global competitors, stands out as one of the lower cost producers like Albemarle (ALB). I have written about Albemarle on June 19th , calling the stock a Buy on a contrarian investment thesis. It has since run more than 60% due to a recent uptick in lithium spot prices and improved sentiment.
