DOGEF - Planned New York wind farm selects contractor to build turbines
Eversource Energy (NYSE:ES) and Ørsted (OTCPK:DNNGY), the companies building the Sunrise Wind farm off the Long Island coast, award an $86M contract to construction firm Riggs Distler to build infrastructure for the project. The proposed 122-turbine wind farm will need several hundred large structures, including concrete platforms, steel ladders and railings, for wind turbine generators. Sunrise Wind is planned to generate 924 MW of electricity, enough to power nearly 600K homes, beginning in 2025. Eversource Energy is "a progressive utility with growing earnings," Insider Monkey writes in a bullish analysis published on Seeking Alpha.
