Raptors Tie Series as Golden State Waits for Final Matchup, Blues Advance to Face Bruins in Rematch for 1970 Stanley Cup Final and Australia’s Ewan Wins Stage 11 in Giro d’Italia

The Toronto Raptors tied up their series with the Milwaukee Bucks last night with a 120-102 victory in game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry led his team with 25 points, and small guard Kawhi Leonard posted 19 points, despite experiencing fatigue, according to the Associated Press. Lowry said of his teammate:

"This was one of the nights that we knew Kawhi was a little bit limited and we had to come out and be aggressive for him."

With the series now being tied, it remains to be seen whether the Bucks or Raptors will advance to the finals to face the Golden State Warriors, who vanquished Portland on Monday in a four-game sweep. Golden State are the defending NBA champions.

In the NHL, the conference finals wrapped last night with the St. Louis Blues beating the San Jose Sharks 5-1 in game 6 of their series. The Blues, who haven't been in the finals since 1970, will face the Boston Bruins, who haven't played since May 16th, when they knocked out the Hurricanes in a four-game sweep. The Blues also faced Boston in their 1970 Stanley Cup final, and lost in game 4 to the iconic cup-winning goal by Bruins legend Bobby Orr.

Australian cyclist Caleb Ewan won stage 11 of the 2019 Giro d'Italia today, but Italian Valerio Conti held on to the top spot. Ewan, who is ranked 117 overall in the race, has now won two victories, adding to his winning of the eighth stage on Saturday. He told the AP:

"I came here to get one win so to get two really exceeded my expectations."
