The New York Knicks and Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) has announced a renewed and expanded multi-year marketing partnership designating it as the Official Hospital Partner of the New York Knicks, Westchester Knicks and Knicks Gaming, which are owned by the Madison Square Garden Company (NYSE:MSG). Ron Skotarczak, executive vice president, marketing partnerships, The Madison Square Garden Company, commented:

DICK'S Sporting Goods (NYSE:DKS) is opening two additional stores this month. The new locations will be in Kennewick, WA and Plymouth Meeting, PA with opening celebration events on September 20-22 and September 21-22, respectively. These stores bring the total number of DICK'S Sporting Goods locations to 728 nationally in 47 states. For the opening events, customers in Kennewick can meet former Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant, and former Eagles tight end Brent Celek in Plymouth Meeting.

For the Women's Singles, six-time US Open champion Serena Williams is facing Ukranian Elina Svitolina, and Swiss player Belinda Bencic is playing Canadian Bianca Andreescu today.
Over in China, the FIBA Basketball World Cup saw victories last night for Angola, Poland, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, Canada, Brazil, Czech Republic, Germany, Australia, Greece, USA and France. Current group leaders in the tournament include Argentina with 258 points, Serbia with 323 points, USA with 279 points, and France with 271 points.
The U.S. state of Rhode Island (RI) has launched mobile sports betting, according to local outlet the Providence Journal. Twin River Casino, in the town of Lincoln, activates gamblers' accounts in person, though they are free to gamble anywhere in the state on the phone or computer afterward.
