Cindy Ord/Getty Images Entertainment Any potential deal between Comcast (CMCSA +0.3%) and ViacomCBS ([[VIAC]] -2.2%, [[VIACA]] -1.8%) is on hold as insiders watch regulatory treatment of the merger of WarnerMedia (T +0.3%) and Discovery (DISCA +0.4%), Forbes reports. There's a new administration in charge and all sides are watching to see how new pledges over antitrust enforcement play out, Forbes says, citing a source with knowledge of the discussions. The two companies have held at least one high-level talk last month (with Comcast's Brian Roberts and ViacomCBS's Shari Redstone and Bob Bakish) about joining Comcast's Peacock streaming service with ViacomCBS's Paramount Plus, according to the report. And that discussion included other possibilities, from a Hulu-style joint venture to a bigger tie-up.
