PPG - PPG Industries added to top stock picks at Baird

PPG Industries ( NYSE: PPG ) on Monday was added to Baird’s list of top picks in the paint and coatings industry. The financial services company said PPG ( PPG ) is poised for gains on higher demand in China and Europe.

The optimism is based on comments by specialty chemicals company Celanese ( CE ), which during its earnings report on Friday discussed China’s recovery.

“Based on comments from Celanese ( CE ), we remain of the view that there is a high probability of a positive macroeconomic pulse out of China,” according to Baird, “noting also that an aggressive inventory destocking paradigm in Europe seems to have run its course.”
