• Proofpoint is the best email security software in the market today. Proofpoint growth slowed in 2020 due to the company’s 20% exposure to hospitality, retail, and other pandemic-affected industries.
• We expect Proofpoint business to accelerate driven by a demand recovery in affected industries, share gains from on-prem players such as Symantec and Cisco.
• The recent Hafnium Exchange attack will spur businesses to move to Office 365. Office 365 growth will drive the demand for Proofpoint email protection products.
• Also, we expect newer products such as Enterprise DLP to spur revenue growth. We believe estimates are conservative, and we expect the company to beat and raise this year.
• Stock is cheap; We would be buying shares ahead of earnings on the 29th. If the stock sell-off for some reason, we would be aggressive with the shares.
