DGX - Quest Diagnostics' unit Pack Health to expand Alabama facility

• Quest Diagnostics ( NYSE: DGX ) said its unit Pack Health plans to nearly double the space of its headquarter facilities in Birmingham, Alabama.
• Pack Health also intends to add at least 200 employee positions based on economic development incentives from Alabama in recognition of public benefits from the expansion of its Birmingham facility.
• The company said that through incentive support from the State of Alabama and Jefferson County, plus local non-educational tax abatements, Pack Health will receive benefits projected to impact the economic state of Birmingham, Jefferson County and across Alabama.
• Quest added that the investment, which includes recognition of Pack Health's job creation from the state, county and city of Birmingham, is expected to generate up to $27M in estimated overall economic impact over 20 years.
• Quest noted that Pack Health's facility will continue to provide health coaching, engaging individuals online to build self-management skills, such as patient reported outcome surveys for clinical trials. The facility and will also include an expanded fitness center.
• Quest had announced the acquisition of Pack Health in January 2022.
