Nuveen Preferred and Income 2022 Term Fund of Beneficial Interest
The last few days the financial markets saw some of the sharpest moves since the end of the March drawdown. In this article we take a look at how these moves have made themselves felt across the CEF space.
In particular we note two interesting dynamics. First, the beta of the CEF market in aggregate is much lower than it was earlier in the year. In our view this is due to previous fund deleveraging, lower asset valuations, idiosyncratic drivers of the current moves as well as an effective Fed backstop of the fixed-income market.
