RDW - Redwire to provide imaging and navigation tech for NASA's Artemis I Mission
- Redwire's ( NYSE: RDW ) critical sun sensor components and advanced optical imaging technologies will be launching on NASA's Orion spacecraft as a part of the space agency's Artemis I mission, the space infrastructure company announced on Thursday .
- Under a contract with Lockheed Martin, Redwire ( RDW ) will be providing an array of internal and external inspection and navigation cameras comprising the Orion Camera System. The 11 internal and in-vacuum cameras that make up the Orion Camera System will allow in-flight inspection of the entire spacecraft.
- In addition to the cameras, Redwire ( RDW ) will provide: a mission-unique kit including a VR camera and forward-facing console camera, and four redundant Coarse Sun Sensor detector assemblies for Orion's European Service Module.
- The CSS detectors will be part of Orion's solar power generation system and will be available through a contract with Airbus ( OTCPK:EADSF ).
