JNJ - Risk of long COVID reduces by 50% in fully vaccinated people: Study
According to a new British study, the risk of long COVID drops nearly in half in people receiving two doses of coronavirus vaccine than unvaccinated people infected with virus, source MarketWatch. The study, published in the journal Lancet Infectious Diseases on Wednesday, found that the odds of having long-term symptoms — lasting at least four weeks after infection were also 49% lower in the breakthrough group. The new findings are based on data from more than 1.2M adults in the Covid Symptom Study. The participants include those who received at least one dose of the Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) - BioNTech (NASDAQ:BNTX), Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) or AstraZeneca (NASDAQ:AZN) vaccines between December 8 and July 4, as well as a control group of unvaccinated people.
