RMRM - RMR Mortgage expects investment company deregistration in January

As part of its transition to a mortgage REIT, RMR Mortgage Trust (RMRM) said its application to deregister as an investment company is currently pending with the Securities and Exchange Commission and is expected to be complete in January 2021.As of Dec. 18, 2020, legacy positions in investment securities represented less than 10% of RMRM's total assets.The company also recently repaid all outstanding borrowings and terminated its revolving credit facility with BNP Paribas Prime Brokerage International.RMRM also closed on a $21.5M first mortgage bridge loan it provided for the acquisition of The Lab at RTP, a 72-acre life science and agriculture technology campus in the Research Triangle submarket at Durham, NC.RMRM shareholders approved in April the plan to convert to a mortgage REIT.
