After Salesforce ( NYSE: CRM ) unveiled the AI cloud for business earlier this week , investment firm Monness, Crespi, Hardt said the tech giant is "well positioned" to lead into "the summer of AI."
Analyst Brian White, who has a neutral rating on Salesforce ( CRM ), said the recent event highlighted several key areas for companies looking to use generative AI, including privacy, hallucinations, data control, bias and toxicity.
"Given the surging interest in generative AI, Salesforce spent quite a bit of time discussing the importance of trust in supporting this emerging technology," White wrote in an investor note. "There are technological hurdles to overcome for an enterprise to securely, and ethically deploy generative AI."
White explained that Salesforce ( CRM ) is likely to make a difference in generative AI with the AI Cloud, which the Marc Benioff-led company described as "the fastest and most trusted way" for customers to "supercharge" their experiences.
White also posited that the monetization details of the AI Cloud, which has a starter pack for $360,000 per year, with the addition for usage-based fees for certain technologies, could help Salesforce ( CRM ) "make a difference."
In addition, White said the introduction of the Einstein GPT Trust Layer, which was unveiled this week, is a "critical component" of Salesforce's ( CRM ) AI cloud, allowing sensitive data data to be separated from the large language model and maintain data controls.
