September 19th was a painful day for shareholders of Scholastic Corporation ( SCHL ). Shares of the company, which plays in the publishing space, dropped over 12% at one point after management announced financial results for the first quarter of the company's 2026 fiscal year. In addition to financial performance worsening on a year-over-year basis, the results reported by management came in lower than what analysts were anticipating.
